The Roald Dahl Treasury

Roald Dahl

Smelling notes by Charlie H

This books still feels as heavy now as it did when I was 8. It falls open on one of the pages I left a scrap of paper in when I was a child (my favourite bits). It smells sweet, and shiny somehow (glossy pages – the ultimate luxury) – it thrusts into memory times that I tucked it under my arm and carried it to the top bunk after I was supposed to be asleep.
