Annihilation

Jeff VandeerMeer

Smelling notes by Rory Buckland

Paint, vinegar, attics and leather. I found myself constructing a narrative retrospectively which was contextualised by the book theme. As if I was part of the story, an active participant. A first foray into book sniffing and an interesting exercise in going inward. Especially when we seem to live in age where the emphasis is upon going outward to look for answers, experiences, knowledge etc.
