Magnificent Mums

Helen Davis

Smelling notes by Lauren Storey

The book is a collection of poems written by children. The reason I have the book is because my poem is in it from when I was 10. When I first smelt it, it reminded me of the classroom where I wrote it. It was on mother’s day and I remember being angry at my classmate because she copied my poems title. The second sniff made me think of factory’s. This book doesn’t have paper like the ones in story book, it’s more like paper you’d find in maths books. The last small brought back a memory of me flipping through the pages when I first got it so that I could find the poem I wrote for my mom and getting the feeling as if I was a successful author.
