Convenience Store Woman

Sayaka murata

Smelling notes by Josh Mcmahon

Not Fish and Chips but the vinegar and salt -in a specific combination and intensity that I’ve only ever experienced on the New Brighton seafront.

As a child, I used to be terrified of a man I called Fin Nose. He owned a shop that smelt like this. I thought I’d outgrown this fear, but this sensory regression has taught me otherwise. I’m stood back in his Chippy.
